The PREVARIO Sunny is suitable for PREFALZ double-lock standing seams and all PREFA small-format applications.
The expansion range of the Sunny solar bracket is suitable for PREFALZ sliding clips. Tightening the Sunny solar bracket does not affect the expansion range of PREFALZ trays with a strip length of up to 12 m.

If using the preformed long sliding clip (strip length of up to 15 m), contact PREFA Product Technology department.
With a temperature difference of 80 °C, the distance between the Sunny solar bracket and the centre of the fixing area must not exceed 7.5 m.

Requirements of the sub-structure framework:
The counter batten may function as a supporting structure if the aforementioned points are observed and the strength of the solar bracket can be transferred to the rafters via it. Dimension the roof structure to accommodate the loads acting on it in accordance with the applicable standards.
As shown in the previous illustration, the installation area of the PREFA Sunny solar bracket is limited with small-format PREFA products. The Sunny can only be mounted on flat or even surfaces. As the Sunny solar bracket only has a sealing function, it can be moved closer to the folds with the cover cap.
Installation is possible on fully supported substrate or battens. With small-format PREFA roof elements, it may be necessary to install a base plate in order to mount the PREVARIO Sunny - e.g. if a fold is lying above a rafter in the installation area.
Mark the outline and oblong hole Pre-drill an oblong hole (⌀ 13 mm) in the PREFALZ strip (a single hole is sufficient on small-format products). Cut out the oblong hole in the PREFALZ strip (not necessary on small-format products).
Pre-drill a hole in the sub-structure framework with ⌀ 8 mm in the centre of the oblong hole or in the single hole.
Roughen the bonding surface of the roof covering and the PREVARIO Sunny. Flare the oblong hole or single hole. Clean the roughened bonding area with provided cleaner. Apply beading (⌀ 10 mm) to the roughened and cleaned Sunny. Press down the PREVARIO Sunny in the centre. Place the storm washer and screw in the hanger bolt with a drill (wrench socket 9 mm). Penetration depth in the supporting substrate (rafter): min. 80 mm
Note
If the EPDM seal is lying on the M12 thread rather than on the smooth shaft of the hanger bolt, take additional measures to seal the joint between the screw and the rubber seal.
Tighten the nut until the EPDM seal bulges outwards (open-end wrench: 18 mm). Install the second nut and turn it all the way down. Measure 60 mm up from the top edge of the second nut (bearing surface for the rail holder), and cut the hanger bolt off. Place rail holders and tighten them at the appropriate height (corresponding to the rest of the solar brackets) with two fork wrenches (open end spanner: SW 18).
With PREFALZ double-lock standing seams, it may be that the PREVARIO Sunny’s cover cap cannot be mounted due to a lack of space. Take the PREVARIO Sunny’s installation instructions into account.
On single-skin roof structures, one possibility could be to move the sub-structure framework for the hanger bolts (e.g.: doubling the rafters over the full rafter length, move the crossbeam).
On double-shell roof structures, one option would be to cut out the seam and then re-seam a narrow sheet metal panel.
Tightening an inclined screw or bending the screw is not permitted.
