Fastening the mounting system

The following instructions are illustrated in a simplified form based on PREVARIO 3.S, but apply to all PREFA solar brackets.

Adjust the rail holders of the outer PREVARIO 3.S units to mid-height. Tension the installation line and align the remaining rail holders parallel to the roof and in height. Tighten the upper screw of the already aligned rail holders with a torque of 20 Nm.

Insert the rail and tighten the lower screw with a torque of 20 Nm.

The rail connector must be installed so that the fixing screws are on the ridge side of the rail. The engraved spacing between the two rails must be observed to allow for temperature-related expansion of the individual rails.
For fastening, first tighten the middle screw, then the outer screws with a torque of 20 Nm.

Before installing the modules, ensure that the solar panel fall protection device is installed.
Two solar panel fall protection devices per module are clamped onto the upper (ridge-side) module rail in the lowest module row of a generator area.
The modules are then positioned, and mid and end clamps are tightened with a torque of 15 Nm.
The mid clamps provide equipotential bonding between the modules via the built-in pins. Whether this type of potential equalization is permissible for the solar panel used or whether an additional joint by means of a connection to the earthing hole is necessary must be clarified with the solar panel manufacturer.
If it is permissible, the row of solar panels must only be connected using earth wire and earth/cross connectors.
