Tray length

Maximum PREFALZ panel length 12 m when using standard sliding clips. Longer panels are possible with additional measures (see Chapters “Clip arrangement” and “Transverse/cross seam detailing”).

For panel lengths of 10 metres or more, we recommend reducing the panel widths (axis dimension: max. 430 mm; cut: max. 500 mm). With panel lengths of 12 metres to 15 metres, panel widths with an axis dimension of max. 430 mm (cutting width: max. 500 mm) or narrower are to be used! The cutting width with PREFALZ aluminium sheets should not exceed 650 mm on the roof and 500 mm on the façade. Façade claddings are executed as mirror cladding or panel cladding up to 4 metres panel length and primarily in angled standing seam technique.

Transverse/cross seam detailing

With panels over 12 metres, there are options to create longitudinal expansion (steps, gradient jump, long sliding clip). No clips may be used for transverse seams .

Note

For panel lengths between over 12 and up to 15 metres, in addition to PREFA stainless steel preformed fixed clips, exclusively stainless steel preformed long sliding clips are to be used (do not combine with PREFA stainless steel preformed sliding clips).
