The lower the roof pitch, the greater the risk of water ingress through the fold under the metal roofing due to driving rain, snow or retained water. For roof pitches up to 7°, special sealing measures are therefore required, e.g. the use of PREFA sealing gel.
Application of the sealing gel
The gel is applied to the inside of the cover sheet (upper seam).
The bead of the sealing gel should have a diameter of approx. 3-5 mm (coverage: approx. 30 linear meters per unit).
The cover sheet is then placed over the underlay (lower seam) that has already been fastened with clips.
The fold must be fully closed within a maximum of 48 hours to ensure a secure seal.

Observe the processing temperature of the PREFA sealing gel: 0 °C to approx. +70 °C.
