Flood protection solutions Installing the ground sleeve

Installing the ground sleeve

  • The ground sleeve must be installed perpendicularly in a sufficiently load-bearing reinforced concrete foundation. This can also be done via a recess to be subsequently cast.
  • The upper edge of the ground sleeve must be aligned flat so that the ground seal lies level when the lowest barrier panel is installed.
  • The bottom of the ground sleeve is open, thus a drainage pipe can be routed from the bottom of the ground sleeve to the water-bearing foundation side.
  • Depending on the consistency of the concrete, the bottom must be sealed if necessary.

Note

The ground sleeve must be positioned in accordance with the plan!

  • Figure of the correct alignment and installation of the ground sleeve in a straight system (without angular deviation) with centre column.
  • All possible angle designs with Vario round profiles are shown in the planning guideline.
