To help with the installation of the PREFA 44 x 44 rhomboid roof tiles, it is advisable to create a grid of vertical cords at a distance of 675 mm (the markings in the starter strip can be used as a guide). In order to keep the dimension exact in each row, half of the layout dimension can also be marked and checked at regular intervals if necessary. Align the starting plates with the notches (on the top edge of the starting plates) on the vertical chalked lines (Figure 30). It should be noted that the area for the lateral upstand (e.g. abutment detail or building corners) is not in the centre of the 44 x 44 rhomboid façade tiles (observe symmetry of façade surface).
