In order to allow a substantial airflow, an opening must be provided at the top. Install a perforated flashing with an approx 90 degree termination for greater stability.
For a neat abutment detail of the horizontal extruded profile façade, it is necessary to shorten the profile lengthwise and adapt it to the on-site conditions. In order to install the profiles without a fixing strip, an additional flashing strip is required. First mount the flashing strip and then fasten the shortened profile to the flashing strip with PREFA patent rivets (see var. connections / shortening of profiles).
Note
As an alternative to a PREFA patent rivet, you can also glue the extruded profiles to the flashing strips.
During installation, pay attention to the arrangement of fix and sliding points to allow expansion/contraction of panels.
For a vertical extruded profile, install a channel profile instead of a flashing strip.
