The rhomboid roof tiles 29 × 29 give roofs an elegant “scaly” appearance with distinctive accents. The rhomboid roof tile is a classic product from the PREFA roof element range: Our “small” rhomboid tiles impress with the so-called beading embossing on each individual rhomboid roof tile. It not only creates the distinctive and unique look, but also makes the rhomboid tile even more resistant.

PREFA rhomboid roof tiles 29 × 29 in P.10 anthracite with beading installed as a surface, roof with scaly appearance

Thanks to the perfectly coordinated system and their low weight, the rhomboid tiles can be used problem-free on new roofs and renovations. They make for a traditionally timeless appearance, but can also be used in combination with the façade for a modern architectural style. The 0.7 mm thick coil-coated aluminium and the proven flat lock technology of the PREFA roof systems ensure maximum durability and extreme weather resistance.

Contemporary new building, where the roof covering also extends over the upper part of the façade, aluminium rhomboid roof tiles in anthracite were used as roof cladding

The slightly larger rhomboid roof tile 44 × 44 cm focuses on a more reduced design and completely does without the beading embossing. Furthermore, it can be installed from a roof pitch of 12°, and it can be installed quickly without clips, i.e. directly fastened.

Do you have questions about the rhomboid roof tile 29 × 29?

It would be too easy if we could offer you a total price here and now or tell you that a roof tile or façade shingle costs such and such. But unfortunately, it’s not that easy. That’s because every PREFA roof or façade needs to be carefully budgeted by one of our master roofers.

The standard ÖVE/ÖNORM EN 62305-3, which applies in Austria, serves as the basis for this regulation. Country-specific standards and regulations must therefore be taken into account.

PREFA roof tiles, roof shingles, rhomboid roof tiles and FX.12 roof panels are an excellent choice for covering over older existing roofs thanks to their light weight. They can be quickly mounted to the existing roofing material, such as bitumen shingles or bituminous sheeting. This type of covering requires an intact sub-structure, correct roof pitch and other basic structural requirements!

Small hail stones cannot damage a PREFA roof with a stucco surface. In the case of extremely large hail stones, as with all roofing materials, functional damage cannot be excluded. However, even in an extreme hail storm, the piercing of a PREFA roof can almost certainly be ruled out.

Aluminium materials are largely corrosion-resistant and rust-free!

PREFA aluminium roofs ideally have a ventilated build up, where the roof cover and thermal insulation is separated by a ventilated gap. This means any occasional condensation can be wicked away again.

For the most part, the roof is ventilated, as can be seen in the first picture. However, the whole attic space can also be ventilated (second picture).
