Remodelled semi-detached house in Mölten: Reference objects

Introduction

A semi-detached house from the 1990’s in Mölten, a small community in South Tyrol, was radically remodelled and renovated. In the course of the remodelling, one half of the semi-detached house was demolished and rebuilt mainly with wood. The existing part was refurbished and connected to the new section, so that the building appears to have been cast from a single mould.

When asked which material would go best with wood, the decision was quickly made in favour of aluminium. The robust PREFA rhomboid roof and façade tiles 44 × 44 in the colour P.10 brown offer the building long-lasting protection. In addition, the brown aluminium rhomboid tiles also form the ideal visual complement to the wooden elements.
