Cabinet DLW architectes: Reference objects

Introduction

François Dussaux, Aurélien Lepoutre and Vincent Wattier set up their office in 2016 in a new-build in the former wholesale district of the industrial city of Nantes in Western France. The building plugs one of the many small gaps in construction that arose during the exodus of the employees of once-mighty shipyards and warehouses. Alongside the challenge of creating the best possible office space on such a small area, François Dussaux and his team also had to make do with comparatively few façades. The fact that they created an eye-catcher from such unassuming surroundings has a lot to do with the architects’ flair for their district and the PREFA serrated profile in plain aluminium which they used to clad the façade on rue Marmontel.

Due to their light weight, PREFA products turn the renovation of roofs and façades into child’s play – and the cosmetic treatment also produces great results.
