The pliability of the material does not affect the quality of the lacquer. PREFALZ façades and roofs score points for stability and durability and last throughout the life of a house.
Rainproof joints can be easily achieved thanks to the concealed, invisible fastening. With its low weight of between 2.2 and 2.3 kg/m², depending on the tray width, PREFALZ is ideal for both refurbishments and also new builds.
It should be particularly emphasised that the PREFALZ façade made of aluminium complies with reaction to fire classification "A1" - i.e. non-combustible - according to EN 13501-1. You can find more information on fire protection here.

The angled standing seam is mainly used for façade cladding. This is an alternative to double lock seam but without closing the seam completely.
Installation systems and application types
In the case of strip covering, the PREFALZ strips, also known as panels, are produced on roll formers from strip sheets.
These metal sheets can beinstalled using longsliding clips up to a length of 12m. The long sheets allow an easy, safe and economical installation of the roof covering.

For panel roofing or mirror roofing, shorter PREFALZ sheets are cut to size, which are connected by staggered cross welts Façade surfaces can be structured better in this way.

- Above all for colour quality P.10, it is almost impossible to define values due to the surface structure. In addition, the PREFA Siding colours P.10 stone grey, P.10 sand brown, P.10 Prefa bronze, P.10 patina green, natural oak, patina grey, walnut and grey oak are based on natural colours made up of several different shades.

PREFALZ can be used to clad the entire building envelope, i.e. façade and roof as well as trimmings, giving it the appearance of being cast from a single mould. Caution: Mixing PREFALZ coils with colour coatedaluminium fromcompetitive manufacturers, but also with FALZONAL material of supposedly the same colour, should be avoided at all costs because of the different paint qualities and subsequent differences in the weathering. Only in this way can you enjoy a harmonious-looking façade even after many years. This must also be observed for weatherings, cappings and the like.
Do you have any questions about the PREFALZ façade?
Fears of rusting are completely unfounded because aluminium cannot rust. If the surface of the PREFA aluminium façade is damaged, a new protective oxide layer is formed and the durability of the PREFA façade remains unchanged.
Non-bearing, rear-ventilated façades are designed to prevent moisture from forming. By separating the insulation and façade cladding, there is a constant air flow in the rear-ventilated space which regulates the moisture balance and ensures dryness. Thanks to the permanent ventilation, professional installation will not result in mould formation underneath the façade.
