3S Jandri cable car – Les Deux Alpes: Reference objects
Introduction
The cable car in Les Deux Alpes impresses with its technical sophistication and the speed with which the project was implemented. After only 18 months of construction, the reversible cable car was put into operation. Only seven outlets connect the mountain peak with the valley, blending perfectly into the landscape.
A total of around 4,000 m² of façade area was used for the design of the four stations with PREFABOND aluminium composite panels in a diamond shape. The colours used – P.10 PREFA white, P.10 pure white and smoke silver – blend harmoniously into the alpine landscape. The lightweight, frost-resistant and durable quality of the aluminium façade is ideal for the extreme weather conditions in high mountains.
