Le Piramidi di Modena: Reference objects
Introduction
The Piramidi in Modena are three residential towers that were completed in 1981. The exposed concrete used at the time was reconstructed and the diagonal façade was also clad with Prefalz aluminium seam strips in P.10 brown. The low weight of Prefalz meant that the load on the structure was not increased and also made the work on the construction site easier. This was already quite complicated because of the pitch of the façades and was carried out by the GAL company in a very professional manner. "In practice, we've applied a cladding to protect the existing building that doesn't weigh it down and allows us to reveal the architecture."
