PREFA uses a special seawater resistant aluminium alloy for the production of aluminium roofing and gutter systems. Where surface damage occurs after being in contact with oxygen, the blank aluminium, coats itself with a protective oxide layer, ensuring protection against further damage.

Furthermore aluminium is a recycling champion. Aluminium has the outstanding characteristic that it can be recycled and reused 100% without loosing any quality. In addition by recycling aluminium, 95% of the production energy can be saved.
